First ebay purchase

I promised to show you my first pretty purchase from ebay. Tada! Isn't she pretty. But the fabric is soiled and worn so that will be my project in the next few weeks - to find a fabric and pretty it all up.
I got all excited about it and bought 3 pretty cushions as well. I have to admit it is all rather addictive. I think I'll be freezing my credit card soon.

  1. Hi Maja! I'm so glad you left me a comment (or two!). I love finding new Aussie blogs! If you've read any of my posts you've probably seen I'm a bit of an eBay addict! I bought a coffee table from eBay with the same style of carving on the legs as your bench seat. It's currently in one of my rooms yet to be revealed (ie, needs some work still!) :-)

  2. Hi again. Just saw the couple of questions you asked me. Firstly, I usually use Cabots interior walnut stain and yes danish oil is available from any hardware store. I use Cabots Danish Oil too.
Funny you sould ask about refurbing your bench seat because I've just finished a draft post about how I did mine. It's not incredibly detailed though the basics are all there. I'll hopefully post it next week though I'm happy to answer any other questions you might have.

  5. Loving your purchase. Are you going to leave it as is or redecorate it? I love the fringing.

  6. Hi Kristine, Julie-Ann, Kellie and Simone, thank you for stopping by to make a comment. It is such a privilege as I truly savour your blogs and try and steal an idea or two ;).
Simone, I will have to replace the fabric on this baby as it is rather worn and soiled but I will leave the legs as they are. I am in two minds whether to go neutral (some ticking or lovely linen) or some bright floral or french toile.
    Cheers to all
